Exploring Engineering

  • Week-long camps in Madison for students entering 8th grade in the fall
  • Camps run Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning

What do engineers do?

  • Design everything from skateboards to rockets.
  • Help provide electricity and other energy sources to keep us comfortable and healthy.
  • Build structures that are safe and comfortable for us to live and work in.
  • Improve life on a daily basis by solving existing problems and helping avoid future problems.

We want you to attend Camp Badger because you may:

  • be interested in science and math and how they relate to engineering.
  • like to read science fiction or factual books about science and engineering.
  • just be curious about what engineering is and what engineers do.

About Camp Badger

  • One-week residential program for Wisconsin teenagers who will be entering 8th grade in the fall.
  • An opportunity to survey many types of engineering fields and begin to see the study of science and math as a path that can lead to great careers.
  • Scholarships available (full and partial need-based).
